Rules of Dojang
Adapted from Encyclopaedia of TaeKwon-Do.

These rules are in place to ensure that students gain the maximum possible benefit from their training.

Bow to the flag and instructor when entering and leaving the hall, or when stepping onto and off of the mats.

Do not enter or leave the class without permission from the instructor.

Students will recite the TaeKwon-Do Oath before each class.

Students should bow before and after speaking to their instructor and should always use appropriate language, e.g. "Yes, Sir/Miss," or "Thank you, Sir/Miss."

All students should be courteous and understanding. Senior grades are expected to set an example for junior grades

Dobok and belt should be clean and well maintained at all times.

Nails should be kept short and lean at all times.

All sparring gear should be brought to each class.

Students will listen to each instruction given to them and will make an honest effort to follow instructions to the best of their ability.

No jewellery is to be worn during training, with the exception of a plain wedding band. Instructors may choose to wear a sports watch for timekeeping purposes only.

The use of mobile phones is prohibited during class times.

Valuables such as mobile phones, jewellery, head phones etc should not be brought to class. The club will be unable to take responsibility for any lost goods.
